Sara Lee commissioned FDG to perform a strategic network analysis and site search to determine the location, size and material handling characteristics for regional mixing centers. The study took into account the needs of both frozen and refrigerated space for the items produced in the nine separate business units. This project is the first “green-field” mixing center for Sara Lee. FDG was then selected to provide architecture and engineering services for the greenfield 147,000-SF freezer/cooler distribution center.

  • 20 acre site is able to accommodate 86 automobile spaces and 102 trailer spaces
